The new parts of the city are growing fast. Houses are build for just a few months and for sure there are many ideas of what Sozopol architecture should look like. For some tradition is important, but for others new ideas are coming forth and result in different shapes and concept. Such variety is curious and as we see the buildings grow in front of our eyes we are intrigued at the extent of friendly observers.
We need not to say that some of the houses build are not at their best possible but enough would be to point some directions for the peeking eye. For what matters many choose expensive materials and do nothing of that, they get no result. At the same time others figure nice facades with cheap and very popular facade materials telling us that expensive materials are not as important as good ideas – yes. That is true. But can we see here well arranged simplicity?
At the same time there is the dual side of architecture. It is meant to impress, to make us feel an environment alive, nice, pretty and baring some certain mood in our lives but also not to engage us to the maximum.
Which means to let us feel free from the engagement to stare at it. Simply to live in a house as a home, not to live in a sculpture. That judgment is something everybody has for himself.
