Airport in Sozopol

The airport will be with an 1800 meters long track. It will be situated between the villages Ravna gora and Izvor. It is certain that the place is very good, for on the same spot now there is an old nonfunctioning agricultural airport. The old airport will serve as a foot for the new one.

The transportation system in Sozopol included a marine port, the airport of Burgas, which is 30 km away and a train station again in Burgas. With this local airport and the new Marina Port Sozopol the city is becoming even more self-dependent from the bigger city Burgas.

Each of the courts will be 1000 decares and most of it will be municipal property, said the mayor. Sozopol will attract big investors and will provide them with land and assist them to include private land as well. The three golf courts will be provided with their own recycling facilities.

The three golf courts will have an airport with 1800 meters long track.

Sozopol has new scrap depot

Sozopol has a new modern scrap depot build on ISPA program. It is one of five in Bulgaria and an important one for it gives Sozopol garbage solutions and freedom to maintain the environment’ well known quality.
Te mayor Veska Karamanova said “the tests show that all the systems work in tact with the ecology normative and safety measures.” The tests were made under the supervision of the ministry of environment and water and the German consortium WALTER-HEILIT SS that executed the project as well as other consultants.
The utility is 124 000 sq. m. and is situated in the Chopalaka area near the village Ravadinovo. 3 cells for press and refining have been build as well as administrative buildings.
The depot has a biological purging station which extracts clean water and it will be used in the other activities of the whole utility. This will close the cycle of the scrap depot.
Over 10 million euro have been invested in the depot.
